How Does ODC-50 Work ? |
ODC-50 is a mixture of natural essential oils and food grade emulsifiers blended to create a broad spectrum odour control product which is natural, safe to use and effective against all type of odours. |
All ingredients used comply with the Toxic Substances Control Act and are approved for use by the
Choksi Analytical Services Ltd.
Ref No. M 277 Dated 17/11/99. |
ODC-50 operates as a molecular cluster bonded by van der waals forces. |
Van der Waals forces is a unique attraction in that it works on the momentary uneven distribution of
electron density of the molecule. |
Molecules which do not have dipoles will have dipiles included by the introduction of ODC-50 into the atmosphere. Once this dipole is created the ODC-50 cluster is then able ti absorb the malodour
molecule. |
As the ODC-50 particle absorbs malodour, the weight of the cluster is increased and therefor falls
out of the atmosphere. |
Once the cluster has fallen to earth bacteria will begin the natural process of degradation. The particles held within the ODC-50 cluster is the will degrade regardless of their composition because of the hight concentration of ODC-50 in relation to the number of absorbed particles will exist in the cluster for the
life of the particle. |
The malodour particle will not be released during degradation since Van der Waals forces will exist in the cluster for the life of the particle. |
The metting of the ODC-50 with the malodour will also reduce the volatility of the odour particle. |
The ODC-50 also works in a secondary way. With certain odours ODC-50 works by way of chemical reaction. ODC-50 is a broad spectrum odour controller with many ingredients which are capable of being selective. This means that some parts of the ODC-50 works o some odours by reaction while the others work by absorption. |
